Based three miles outside the City of Armagh, we supply converted and adapted vehicles across Ireland and the UK.  Established in 1950 and the oldest converter in our industry, McElmeel Mobility is a third generation Family run business, built upon our core values of innovation and excellent customer service.


The Role:
The Adaptations Fitter will be required to fit adaptations such as hand controls, left foot accelerators, steering aids, boot hoists to vehicles, whilst ensuring that all work completed is carried out to the required high standards that the Company expects.


Responsibilities:
·      Responsible for fitting vehicle adaptations, including hand controls, left foot accelerators, steering aids, pedal guards, boot hoists and roof top boxes.
·      Conduct repairs of adaptations aiming for maximum reliability.
·      Take responsibility for all work completed, ensuring that it is completed to the required standard.
·      Liaise with customers who are onsite to have adaptations fitted to their vehicles, and ensure they have been given a detailed overview on how to use their newly fitted adaptation, and are happy with this before leaving the premises.  
·      Ensure your workstation is kept clean and tidy at all times, that all toolboxes/trolleys are stored away in designated area at the end of each day.
·      Be accountable for health and safety requirements  in your work area, ensuring you work in a safe environment through maintaining health and safety procedure and ensuring staff work in a safe manner. 
·      The job role may include other reasonable duties and responsibilities commensurate with the post and the needs of the organisation in order to develop and maintain service delivery.


The Ideal Candidate:

·      Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
·      3+ years relevant experience.
·      A full driving licence is essential.
