The Role:
We are recruiting an Adaptations Fitter who will be responsible for fitting vehicle adaptations to include hand controls, boot hoist, left foot accelerator etc... to customer vehicles for disabled driver and passengers, aiming for maximum reliability whilst ensuring all work is carried out to the high standard that the Company expects.  


Responsibilities:
  • be responsible for fitting vehicle adaptations, including hand controls, electronic and left foot accelerators, steering aids, pedal guards, boot hoists and roof top boxes,
  • be responsible for conducting repairs aiming for maximum reliability,
  • take responsibility for all work you carry our, ensuring that it is completed the required standard,
  • ensure all job cards are completed with the required information and are signed off before being passed to the office,
  • liaise with customers who arrive onsite to have their adaptations fitted, ensuring they are competent in how to use their newly fitted adaptation.


The Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role,
  • Mechanical fitting experience,
  • Basic welding knowledge,
  • Full driving licence,
  • Leadership skills,
  • Highly organised, 
  • Excellent time management,
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written),
  • Confident, with a positive can-do attitude,
