Job Vacancy - Assistant Store Person

The Role:
We are seeking an Assistant Store Person to join our busy store department.  You will be responsible for receiving and dispatching goods from the stores, storing goods received appropriately and resolving discrepancies in the delivery of goods. 


Responsibilities:

  • Execute inventory control measures to ensure the company minimizes stock holding and maximises stock system and paperwork,
  • Work with procurement, goods inwards and dispatch to ensure necessary functions are carried out correctly,
  • Preparation of kits for both internal use and nationwide export,
  • Responsible for receiving all deliveries and checking goods received,
  • Organising and delivering goods from the store to the department that requires it,
  • Responsible for safe operation of the forklift when receiving deliveries, delivering kits and other goods to relevant departments,
  • Updating inventory management systems regularly,
  • Assist with department month end and end of year stock take,
  • Maintain all documentation for the purpose of auditing,
  • Keep the store areas clean and tidy, remove rubbish and clean on a regular basis,
  • The job role may include other reasonable duties/tasks from time to time.

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Full driving licence,
  • Competent at driving a forklift,
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills,
  • Initiative to work alone as well as successfully within a team,
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment,
  • Excellent time management skills,
  • Strong administration skills, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365.


Desirable:
  • Experience in using Sage/Xero stock or equivalent business management software (advantageous)
  • Forklift Licence
