Job Vacancy - Accounts Clerk

The Role:
The Accounts Clerk will work closely with the Accounts Team and provide financial, clerical and ad-hoc support to our various departments, as well as working closely with the Company Accountant.  The role will include assistance with all aspects of company accounting in our busy Accounts Department.  Full Training will be provided.



Responsibilities


  • Support accounts receivable, accounts payable and reconciliations
  • Completing banking duties
  • Posting to sales ledger including sales invoices and credit notes
  • Processing customer payments Processing purchase ledger invoices
  • Completion of petty cash and corporate credit card transactions
  • Responsible for vehicle stock control including monitoring sales and purchase of vehicles
  • Assisting with store and work in progress stock take, reporting and control
  • Completing government surveys and assisting with management reporting
  • Provide financial, clerical and ad-hoc support to the other departments as required



The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate should have 1 years experience working within an Accounts team or busy office environment with an interest in finance.  You will be given an opportunity to learn all areas of the Accounts Clerk role and work closely with other members of the Accounts team.  You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills, communication and problem solving and excellent attention to detail.  You must be proactive and driven to meet deadlines.



Qualifications:

  • Essential - Educated to GCSE Level including grade C Maths or English or above
  • Essential - Completed further education in an Accounts related subject




Essential Qualities:
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent timekeeping skills




Desirable Experience
Experience in Xero would be beneficial but not essential


Position is Full-Time, Permanent
