McElmeel Mobility Services are a Market Leader in adaptation, conversion and supply of vehicles for disabled drivers and passengers. Based three miles outside the City of Armagh, we supply converted and adapted vehicles across Ireland and the UK.  Established in 1950 and the oldest converter in our industry, McElmeel Mobility is a third generation Family run business, built upon our core values of innovation and excellent customer service.


The Role:

Due to our continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for a R & D Assistant to join our award winning team.  


This is an exciting opportunity within our R & D Team.  The role will involve assisting with the design and fabrication of new and existing wheelchair accessible vehicles.  You will be required to assist in testing products for their functionality and attend overseas testing as required by the business. 


With the potential to lead future R & D projects we are seeking a creative thinker, who is open to change and willing to give their opinion on new ideas.


The Ideal Candidate:


·      2+ years MIG welding / fabrication experience,
·      Excellent attention to detail,
·      Ability to work to tight deadlines,
·      A great work ethic with the ability to work on own initiative,
·      A creative thinker, open to change and new ideas,
·      Full clean driving licence,
·      Auto electrical experience (advantageous)


This is a full-time, permanent position with an attractive salary for the successful candidate.
