The Role:
The Trainee Accounts Clerk will become part of our busy Accounts Team and provide financial, clerical and ad-hoc support, assisting with all aspects of company accounting.

·         Support accounts receivable, accounts payable and reconciliations
·         Banking
·         Posting to the Sales ledger including sales invoices and credit notes
·         Processing customer payments
·         Processing purchase ledger invoices
·         Company Credit Card Reconciliation
·         Petty cash Processing and Reconciliation

The Ideal Candidate:

It would be advantageous for candidates to have accounts administration experience or experience in working in a busy office environment but it is not essential as full training will be given. The ideal candidate will be hard working and able to take ownership of the tasks given to you.
You will need to be a fast learner and committed to your own development. Having exceptional telephone manner and respectful interpersonal communication, you will become a vital cog between the Accounts Department and the rest of the company.
You must be proactive with a problem-solving attitude and excellent attention to detail, driven to meet deadlines.

  • Essential - At least GCSE level including grade C Maths and English or above
  •  Essential - Further Education to A-Level or
  •  Desirable - Further Education includes Maths,
    Business, Accounting or related subjects
  •  Desirable -Further Education includes Maths,
    Business, Accounting or related subjects

    Essential Qualities:
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent timekeeping skills

Remuneration Package:

Salary will be competitive depending on experience and meet Living Wage guidelines
