About The Role.
We are seeking a skilled Adaptations Fitter with auto-electrical experience to join our team. This role will involve fitting vehicle adaptations, modifying vehicle wiring harnesses and carrying out electrical installation work to a high standard. The successful candidate will work on a wide range of vehicles, helping to deliver safe, reliable and high-quality mobility solutions for our customers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Include
-Fit vehicle adaptations, mobility equipment and associated components in line with company standards and customer requirements.
-Modify, repair and install vehicle wiring harnesses, ensuring all electrical work is completed safely and accurately.
-Carry out auto-electrical fault finding, testing and basic diagnostics to support installation and repair work.
-Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings and fitting instructions.
-Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, with strong attention to safety, quality and finish.
-Record work completed accurately and report any technical issues, defects or parts requirements.
-Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment while following company procedures and health and safety requirements.
-Carry out other duties appropriate to the role and the needs of the organisation to support effective service delivery.
What We’re Looking For.
The successful candidate will be hands-on, detail-focused and confident working with vehicle electrical systems. They will take pride in producing high-quality work, be able to follow technical instructions, and work effectively both independently and as part of a busy workshop team.
Essential Criteria.
-Previous experience in auto-electrical work, vehicle wiring, electrical installation or a similar practical fitting role.
-Full driving licence.
-Experience modifying or working with vehicle wiring harnesses.
-Ability to use hand tools, power tools and electrical testing equipment safely and confidently.
-Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams, fitting instructions and technical information.
-Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to quality, safety and customer satisfaction.
-Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Organised, reliable and able to manage work efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
Desirable Criteria.
-Experience fitting vehicle adaptations, mobility equipment or specialist vehicle conversions.
-A relevant qualification in auto-electrics, vehicle maintenance, engineering or a related discipline.
-Experience working on wheelchair accessible vehicles, adapted vehicles or commercial vehicles.
-Knowledge of 12V vehicle electrical systems, relays, switches, sensors and associated components.

-Salary: Negotiable depending on experience.
-Permanent, full-time role based on-site in Armagh, Co Armagh.
-44 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility in setting hours of work by agreement.
