We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the McElmeel Mobility Services Open Weekend at our Armagh headquarters on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th September.
Across two busy days, we were delighted to welcome customers, families, healthcare professionals, OTs, Disability Action NI and visitors from near and far to explore our range of wheelchair accessible vehicles, adaptations and safe transport solutions.
It was fantastic to meet so many new customers considering their first WAV, as well as welcoming back familiar faces and existing customers who continue to support McElmeel Mobility Services. We were particularly overwhelmed by the number of people who travelled significant distances to spend the weekend with us.
Visitors had the opportunity to explore a wide selection of new, nearly-new and used wheelchair accessible vehicles, speak directly with our experienced team and learn more about the different options available for private purchase and through the Motability Scheme.
Our adaptations and Safe Transport Solutions were also a key part of the weekend, with demonstrations giving visitors and healthcare professionals the opportunity to see how different solutions can help make vehicle travel safer, easier and more accessible.
We were also pleased to welcome healthcare professionals and OTs to our dedicated workshops, providing an opportunity to discuss wheelchair accessible vehicles, adaptations and safe passenger transport in greater detail.
And, of course, it wouldn’t have been an Open Weekend without some refreshments and family fun! From the ice cream van and face painting to plenty of conversations, demonstrations and vehicle walkarounds, there was something for everyone.
The weekend was a brilliant reminder of the community that surrounds McElmeel Mobility Services and why putting customers first has always been at the heart of what we do.
