Step into a role where your craftsmanship and leadership directly improve people's lives.  We are seeking a Lead Fabricator to guide out fabrication team and uphold the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Leading, training, and developing the fabrication team,
  • Ensuring a safe, compliant, and well-organised workshop environment,
  • Checking incoming parts for quality and quantity & reporting any issues to engineering/procurement,
  • Responsible for ensuring parts sent for plating/powder-coating are stamped and quality checked,
  • Managing stock levels through using stock management system, and weekly cycle counts,
  • Ensuring production targets and quality standards are met,
  • Managing job priorities and day-to-day workflow within the fabrication team,
  • Communicating effectively with various departments to maintain workflow and prevent delays,
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities across fabrication processes,
  • Managing attendance, timekeeping and performance within the team,
  • Carrying out welding and fabrication work to a high standard.


Essential Criteria
  • Proven experience as a welder/fabricator producing work to a high standard, 
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader position, ideally leading a small team in a manufacturing environment,
  • Strong communication and leadership skills,
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings,
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail,
  • Committed to quality and safe working practices,
  • Forward thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and performance improvements,
  • IT proficient,
  • Experience  using stock management systems is advantageous,
  • Previous experience operating a welding robotic arm is advantageous

Hours of work
Mon - Thur: 7.30 am - 5.30 pm
Fri: 7.30 am - 1.30 pm
Permanent, full-time role
