McElmeel Mobility Services - Relief Driver

Due to business growth, we are now recruiting for a relief driver to join our team. As a relief driver, the position requires you to be fully flexible, deliveries will vary from one vehicle every two weeks to three deliveries per week and depending on the needs of the business.

You will travel throughout the UK as required to deliver and complete the handover of our wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAVs) direct to our customers.

Responsibilities

full flexibility to be available as and when required to complete deliveries of new wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAVs) direct to the customer at their own home,
ensure the WAV you are delivering has been cleaned and is ready for handover to the customer,
complete a comprehensive and efficient handover with the customer, ensuring they are happy with all aspects of the conversion in their new vehicle,
complete fully all required Motability handover documentation with the customer,
complete a full vehicle condition description (VCD) and photograph the customers Motability return vehicle where applicable,
ensure all relevant documentation is forwarded via email at your earliest convenience to Motability Specialists to allow online handover of the vehicle to be completed,
advise pre-sales admin of any changes to the agreed handover time in a timely manner prior to delivery to ensure a smooth handover of customers new vehicle.

Experience and Skills

valid full driving licence
previous driving experience
reliable and punctual
prepared to work flexible hours at short notice
excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish a good rapport with customers
excellent verbal and written communication skills
highly organised with excellent time management skills
professional at all times providing exceptional customer service
