McElmeel Mobility Services - Workshop Supervisor (Adaptations Department)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Workshop Team Leader, you will have responsibility for all work carried out within the department, and will oversee the daily operations of our adaptations fitting to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. You will lead, motivate and support the team to become proficient in all aspects of adaptation fitting. The role requires an individual who is proactive, organised and capable of managing a team to facilitate efficient workflow.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise team productivity and adherence to KPIs,
- Work with Office Manager to manage work allocation and adjust schedules to meet deadlines,
- Support, mentor and develop team performance,
- Create and implement build manuals for all McElmeel fitted adaptations,
- Complete daily team briefs/tool box talks and follow up on actions and issues
- Monitor and review current processes for continuous improvement,
- Fit adaptations,
- Promote safety by ensuring the workshop is organised and safe, maintaining tools and work area
Experience & Skills
- Previous supervisory experience in a similar role
- Hands-on experience in a fitting/mechanical role
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent time management
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficient IT user (experience in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Full driving licence

Hours of work
- Monday - Thursday, 8.00am-5.30pm
- Friday, 8.00am-4.30pm
