What is Required from Me?
Sit or Push

As a user, all you need to do is stay seated during the transfer. For carers, strength is not a requirement. If you can push a wheelchair with a person in it, you can easily use the Carony system.

How Do I Use It?
Swivel, Dock, and Slide

Transferring with the Carony involves three simple steps:

• Swivel: In the car, use a swivel base.
• Dock: Dock the Carony wheelchair to the swivel base.
• Slide: Slide the seat with the user from the wheelbase onto the swivel base, disconnect the wheelbase, and swivel in.

After transferring, the user will be seated in a regular car seat. Remember to wear the car’s original seat belt for safety.

To bring the wheelbase along, store it in the boot. If lifting is a challenge, a wheelchair hoist can be used.
